Aikens, Lawrence M.
Aikens, Lawrence M., 94 of Brewster and formerly of Yarmouthport, died April 4, 2004. He was the husband of the late Marion (Sherlock) Aikens, who died in 1998.
Mr. Aikens was born, raised and educated in Toledo, OH. He was also a graduate of Syracuse University where he was a standout athlete. He also played semi-pro football in Syracuse before being drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II.
Upon returning from the Army, Mr. Aikens worked for the A.B. Dick Duplicating Co. in Niles, IL. He retired in 1975 as Sales Manager of International Exporting.
Mr. Aikens was a member of the Cape Cod Men’s Club. He enjoyed golfing, yoga and playing bridge.
He is survived by two nephews, John and Michael Boyd and a niece, Barbara Boyd.
