Bois, Raymond L.
Bois, Raymond L., 81 of South Yarmouth, died Thursday April 8, at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary A. (Perry) Bois for 56 years.

Born, raised and educated in Bridgewater, Mr. Bois served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 98th Signal Battalion. He was honorably discharged, with the rank of Technician Fourth Grade, in 1946.

Mr. Bois worked as a Supervisor for the former New England Telephone Co. for twenty five years. He retired in 1965 due to some health issues. He moved to South Yarmouth in 1954 from Fall River. He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in South Yarmouth.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. One of his greatest accomplishments was obtaining his private pilot’s license.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bois is survived by four sons, Paul and Carl Bois, both of Lovell, ME, David Bois of Yarmouthport and Raymond L. Bois Jr. of South Yarmouth; one sister, Adele G. Hooper of Fall River; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Anita St. Dennis.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 13 in St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.

Interment will follow at 1:30 in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
