Elliott, Edna F. (Bickford)
Elliott, Edna F. (Bickford), 79 of Dennisport, died Tuesday April 13 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was the wife of John S. Elliott since 1948.
Born in Milton, MA, Mrs. Elliott was raised and educated in North Quincy. She was a 1942 graduate of North Quincy High School.
Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Elliott worked for the Boston Gear Works in Quincy as a Western Union Teletype Operator.
An accomplished bowler, Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Ladies Classic Bowling League, in Quincy, for many years. She was also a member of the Wollaston Assembly #10 Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
After living in South Weymouth and devoting herself to making a home and raising her two children, Mrs. Elliott moved to Dennisport in 1984.
Mrs. Elliott enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed being a grandmother. She enjoyed showering her only grandson with love and affection. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. She will be remembered by family and friends as a loving, intelligent and vital woman with a fantastic sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Elliott is survived by a son, Paul Elliott and his wife, Julie of Port Angeles, WA; a daughter, Nancy Elliott of Bangor, ME; and a grandson, Benjamin of Bangor, ME.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 17 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth (www.hallettfuneralhome.com).
Interment will be private.
