Reardon, Mildred (Allen)
Reardon, Mildred (Allen), of South Yarmouth, on January 6 in Sioux City, IA, at the age of 94 years. She was the wife of the late Eloy D. Reardon. Mrs. Reardon was born in Pawtucket, RI. She was a 1929 graduate of Pawtucket High School and attended Rhode Island College of Education. She was an employee of New England Telephone in Pawtucket and Providence for 36 years before retiring in 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Reardon bought a house in S. Yarmouth in 1961 and moved there permanently from Pawtucket in 1972. She was a communicant of Saint Pius X Church and a member of their Women’s Guild. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was also an avid reader and talented needle worker enjoying knitting, embroidery and crocheting. She particularly enjoyed her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Daniels of Northborough, MA and Mary-Elinor Kennedy of Storm Lake, IA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Ellen Barrett-Barnes of Bolton, CT, Alexander D. Ward of Riverton, WY, Patrick R. Kennedy of S. Yarmouth, Christopher G. Daniels of Northborough, Elizabeth G. Daniels of Lexington, KY, Elizabeth A. Kennedy of Storm Lake, IA and 4 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11AM Saturday, January 21 in Saint Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., S. Yarmouth from 2-4 PM Friday and 9–10:45AM Saturday prior to the funeral mass. Burial will be in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouth.
