Miller, David L. , 63, of South Yarmouth died on June 6 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sandra M. (Spellman) Miller.
He was born in Somerville, raised and educated in Lexington. Mr. Miller attended Middlesex Community College. He was the son of the late Harry and Grace (Taylor) Miller.
Mr. Miller worked as a Radio Operator for Chatham Radio. He moved to Cape Cod in 1986 after many family fishing vacations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, the beach and spending time with his family. Mr. Miller had a great sense of humor. His passion was Ham Radio Operator Calling numbers W1GDQ. David loved dogs and missed his beloved Duke and Ruby.
He is survived by William G. Miller and his wife, Donna of CO, James M. Paolilly of NY, Stephen M. Paolilly of NH, Dawn M. Mowrey and her husband, Greg of RI, Suzanne Blanchette of Harwich and Lisa A. Paolilly of South Yarmouth and the late Robert R. and Paul E. Paolilly Also known as Poppy to his 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children. He was the brother of Carol Gray and her husband George of Woburn, MA
A funeral procession will form at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday June 11 at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth to be followed at 10 a.m. by a graveside service in Woodside Cemetery, Summer Street, Yarmouthport. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 10 from 6 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Route 6A, Brewster, MA 02631
