Kelley, Edwin D.
Kelley, Edwin D., husband of Doris “Dorie” (Donovan) Kelley,
died at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, after weeks of loving in-home care by his wife and Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod personnel.

He was born in Waterbury, CT in 1930, attended SS Peter & Paul School and Crosby High School. He graduated from Quinnipiac College in New Haven with an Associates Degree in Accounting.

Ed served with a MASH unit in Korea for 18 months. He is a member of the Korean War Vets and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In 1971 Ed and Doris relocated from Waterbury, CT to Cape Cod where he was employed in real estate with Henry H. Holden and Hamlyn and Sons.

In addition to his wife Ed is survived by two sisters; M. Jean Kelley of Brewster, MA and Mary K. Donovan of Meriden, CT, a niece, two nephews and their children, and a nephew, Rev. Kevin Donovan of Branford, CT, cousin and God-daughter, Susan D. Harrington. Other survivors include his “almost” children and grandchildren: Nanci and Ashley Barnett, The Santos and Wawlagala families, dear friend, Joanne Miner, and Chica, the Chihuahua.

Friends and relatives may call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Friday, January 8 from 4-7 P.M. The funeral will
be held on Saturday, January 9 from the Hallett Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Pius X Church, Station Ave. South Yarmouth, MA. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday, January 11.
