Noyes, Albert Byron, of Barnstable passed away January 4 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy May (Whitman) Noyes. Mr. Noyes was born in Georgetown, MA and graduated from Haverhill High School and Wentworth Institute in Boston. He taught industrial arts at South Junior High in Weymouth for 18 years and at Wixon Middle School in Dennis for 9 years. During WWII he served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Noyes was a volunteer at the Cape Cod Hospital for 13 years, an advisor for the Rainbow Girls and a member of the Mount Horeb Masonic Lodge and Nauset Light Masonic Lodge for 60 years and the Bass River Rod and Gun Club. Mr. and Mrs. Noyes moved to Barnstable from S. Weymouth in 1970. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Whalen of Middleboro and Carol Noyes of Provincetown, two granddaughters, Jennifer Pittsley and her husband Wayne,and Rebecca Whalen, all of Middleboro and 3 great-grandsons, Jason, Matthew and James.
