Morley, Robert T.
Morley, Robert T. , 80 of West Dennis died Monday June 20, 2011 at the Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster, after bravely battling Parkinson’s Disease for over 10 years.

He was the loving husband of Ann (Bogardus) Morley.

Born in Worcester, Mr. Morley was the son of the late John L. and Julia A. (Boyce) Morley. He was a graduate of North High School in Worcester.

Bob moved to Cape Cod and worked as a salesman for Metropolitan Life for many years. He also worked for Allen Harbor Marine Service in Harwich and was known for being a top salesman of Boston Whalers. Bob then worked as a carpenter and painter for many years until his retirement.

Bob played a major role in the creation of the Chatham Chorale and Chamber Singers, who are celebrating their 40th year. He remained an integral force in both groups, lending his solid bass voice to virtually every concert. He served as president, and treasurer at various times, and offered his creative and expert skills where ever they were needed.

A dedicated fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics, Bob enjoyed making his secret recipe of popcorn and sitting down to watch the game.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a son, Robert T. Morley, Jr.; a daughter, Sheila Furrer and her husband, Larry; two beloved grandchildren, Jeremy and Sara; four step-children, John West and his wife, Sue, Laurie West and her husband, Ricky Price, Rob West and his wife, Lu Carole, and Scott West and his wife, Jaimie; and seven step-grandchildren.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday July 17 in the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main St., South Yarmouth, MA.

Interment will be private.
