Joshua L Woodward IV, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born August 7, 1956 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, the son of Joshua L Woodward III and Ruth (Thayer) Woodward. Josh was predeceased by his wife Donna (Newell), parents Joshua and Ruth Woodward, sisters Pricilla Horesco, Sandy Sullivan, and brother George Shaw.

Josh graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1974. He then began his 28 year employment in the supermarket business working his way up into management. In 2001, Josh began working at Shepley Wood Products moving back into the management position and retired in April of 2025.

Josh loved spending time on the water either fishing, lobstering or just taking a river ride down Bass River. He also was a dedicated Boston sports fan and an avid gardener.

Josh is survived by his two sons Joseph Woodward wife Kellie of South Yarmouth and Jeffrey Woodward wife Dawn of Yarmouthport and their mother Cathy Woodward of Dennis. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Brooke and Joey Woodward and Leah and Ethan Woodward. Josh is also survived by his sister Linda Chamberlain (Joel), Cindy Healey (David), brothers Dana Shaw (Marilyn), Eric Shaw and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
