Donald P. Barry, of West Yarmouth passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born in Brockton, the son of Rose Petronelli Clark and Henry M. Barry, Sr. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and received his associate’s degree from Boston University. He was a Korean War active-duty veteran, achieving the rank of Specialist Second Class (Staff Seargent). Donny implemented the first computer/data processing system for the City of Boston and the Town of Brookline, Massachusetts. He was a businessman who invested his time and talents in owning laundromats and racehorses.

Donny loved animals. If you and your dog were injured on the side of the road, you can be sure that he would check on the dog first.

Donny is survived by his brother, John Clark of West Yarmouth, his aunts Eleanor Walsh and Lorraine Santora, his uncle Ronnie Petronelli, his cousins Donna Santora, Marie & Cliff Norling, Diane Susi, Tony and Roz Petronelli, his nephew David Barry and his wife Jennifer, his niece Tina Coggeshall and her husband Stew, as well as his friend since high school Earle Beaubien and Earle’s partner Natalie, and many more cousins and aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his brother Hank Barry, and uncles John Santora and Freddy Petronelli, as well as too many more cousins and aunts and uncles to list.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA. Interment will follow at Chandler Gray Cemetery, West Yarmouth, MA.
