Margaret “Peggy” A. (Reed) Stotts 77 of Barnstable died, at her home, Tuesday August 31, 2021.

She was the wife of Rev. Dr. Michael R. Stotts. They had been married for 52 years.

A gentle soul, Peggy was a model for people with disabilities and other difficulties due to her own disabilities following a motor vehicle accident prior to her marriage. She lovingly put people at ease, regardless of her disabilities, and always met people with a smile.

Peggy was very involved with her husband, in his church work, at the eight United Methodist congregations that he served during his 40 plus years of ministry throughout New England. She was well loved by these congregations.

In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by a sister, Ellen Petche of Cleveland, OH; and two nieces and three nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, John Reed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 4 in the Northside United Methodist Church, 701 Airline Rd., Brewster, MA 02631.

Interment will be private.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Northside United  Methodist Church, 701 Airline Rd., Brewster, MA 02601.
