Stephen R. Marry Jr., aged 82, passed away quietly at his home in Dennis, Massachusetts on Nov. 16, 2015. Born in Boston, he was the son of Stephen R. Marry and Matilda Biggs Marry both of Salmonier, Newfoundland. He is survived by his four children; Stephen R. Marry III and his wife Rachel, Paul J. Marry, David C. Marry and his wife Jackie, and Sharon L. Crandall. Steve had four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Steve earned a B.A. in education from Providence College and was a teacher at Mattacheese Middle School in West Yarmouth for 30 years. Not only was he a dedicated teacher, but also a class advisor, basketball referee, baseball coach and a football referee. Officiating a college football game at Harvard was one of his fondest memories. Time with his family was spent tending vegetable gardens, going to the beach, traveling in a motor home and watching and cheering for all our New England sports teams. Winter weekends and vacations were spent skiing as many different ski areas in northern New England as we could. A family ski trip to Chamonix, France is a cherished memory for us all. Our dad showed us and gave us the world. Our love for him is endless. He was our hero.
