Carol L. (Hulten) Taylor 75 of West Yarmouth and formerly of Worcester died Saturday December 11, 2021 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

She was the wife of Jeffrey W. Taylor for 34 years.

Born, raised and educated in Worcester, Carol was the daughter of the late Edward and Virginia (Grenon) Hulten.

Carol worked at several occupations, but the one she was most proud of was that of being the first female bartender in Worcester county.

A woman of strength, and independence, Carol will be remembered for her love of bingo, and her willingness to help those in need.

Carol’s happiest place was spending time with her family and friends. She had an amazing spirit and personality which was evident to all that ever met her. She had a gift of making everyone feel listened to and she had “a gift of gab”. To instill the value of family is a legacy that her loved ones will continue in her memory.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her devoted son, Marc Hulten and his wife, Laurie of Yarmouth Port; two step-daughters, Kim Raftery of Harwich, and Brandy Villani and her husband, Jim of South Yarmouth; a brother, Edward Hulten of Charlton; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Hulten, and a sister, Barbara Peckham.

Funeral services will be private.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Katelynn’s Closet, 33 North Main St., South Yarmouth, MA 02664.
