Scott M. Whittemore 47 of West Dennis died Thursday January 27, 2022 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Born in Barnstable, Scott was the son of Lynn (Zeliff) McGrath of Dennis and the late Steven Whittemore.
Scott was a very hard working and generous man. He loved his children with all his heart, and Sam and Chevy, the two family dogs, meant everything to him. You could often find Scott up in a tree, trimming branches, or under a car changing its oil.
In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by his two children, Jared and Olivia Whittemore and their mother, Erin Cassidy all of West Yarmouth; a brother, Ryan McGrath of Plymouth; his longtime partner, Eileen Kane; and many friends and family members. In addition to his father, Scott was predeceased by his twin sons, Collin and Evan Whittemore.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday February 11 in St. David’s Episcopal Church, 205 Old Main St., South Yarmouth.
Interment will be private.
