David Clark, 72, of West Dennis, Massachusetts, passed away on January 29, 2022. He fought hard, but succumbed to a short sudden illness.
Dave was born to Alfred E. Clark and Sophie (Malar) Clark on January 24, 1950. He was raised in Orange, CT and spent summers on Cape Cod with his family. David earned his Bachelors Degree from The University of Vermont and received his Masters from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also studied abroad in Spain and traveled around Europe on his motorcycle. Following college, he served as a Lieutenant in the United States Coast Guard. From there he went on to work in computer/healthcare sales but realized his true passion was found in teaching and he became a Spanish and Computer Technology teacher before finding joy in retirement with his wife on Cape Cod. Dave loved his sailboat and playing the euphonium in the Chatham Band and the new Horizons Band. He enjoyed golfing and clamming, but most of all, he loved his family and friends. Dave was an extraordinarily loving man with a passion for life and will be missed dearly by many.
David leaves behind his wife, Ann M. Powers, his two children: Benjamin S. Clark and Jennifer A. Clark and his sister, Penny and her husband, Tom Gilbert. In addition he is survived by two sisters-in-law: Kathy Herrick and Paula Barthel, and  brother-in-law, Chick Herrick and nine nieces and nephews: Christine Wilson, Alex Gilbert, Colleen Goss, TJ Goss, Michael Herrick, David Herrick, Shaun Herrick, Daniel Herrick and Brendan Herrick, and his cousins: Carol Brunt, Gail Hiltunen, Nancy Burke, Gregory Malar, Gail Wallace, Mary Jo Hansen, Walter Malar and Elizabeth Thomas.
.
There will be a celebration of life to honor Dave in the spring. Details to be determined.
