Patricia (McCarthy) Newell of South Dennis passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of Mark Newell. Patty was born on July 17, 1952 in Everett, MA to Robert and Evelyn (Gallant) McCarthy.
 
Patty and Mark lived in Quincy, MA for 36 years prior to moving to Cape Cod.  During that time she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston.  Upon moving to Cape Cod she worked for Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority.
 
They built their dream home in 1993 in Dennis and were most happy relaxing year-round on their deck enjoying the birds and wildlife.  Patty was famous for her culinary skills and enjoyed preparing wonderful meals for family and friends.
 
Surviving are her two sisters, Maureen McCarthy of Cambridge, MA and Diane Petipas of Guilford, NH.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Robert, Kevin and Dennis.
 
The family will honor Patty’s life with a private celebration.
