Dennis:  Magdalene Theoharidis, 84, of Dennis passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, and reunited with her husband, Spero.  She was the daughter of Peter and Penelope (Economopoulou) Alex.  Magdalene grew up in Roxbury, graduated from Boston State Teachers College and taught second grade in Quincy and Boston.

In 1959 she moved to Yarmouth with her husband and raised their four children.
Spero and Magdalene retired to the Florida Keys, where they spent many happy years filled with love, laughter, dancing and, of course, lots of food.

Magdalene was a proud member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Centerville, a member of the Daughters of Penelope, and St. Katherine’s Philoptochos where she served as Assistant Treasurer.

Her family and friends were her whole world.  She was the matriarch of the family.  Magdalene loved to play Bingo on Tuesdays with “The Girls” at church and for many years bowled with her church friends.

Magdalene is survived by her loving children, Dennis Theoharidis of Ramrod Key, FL, Dr. Peter Theoharidis and his wife, Lisa, of Centerville, Maria Savoy and her husband, Michael of Sullivan, ME, Steven Theoharidis and his wife, Lisa, of Sedgwick, ME, 16 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.  Magdalene is also survived by her loving twin sister, Helen Bisgounis, of Bass River and her brother, Christos P. Alex of Harwich, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Wednesday, January 27 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 11:00 A.M. in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1130 Falmouth Rd., Centerville, MA.  Burial will follow in Ancient Cemetery, Center St., Yarmouth, MA.

Dear Dennis, Peter, Maria & Steve, It is with a heavy heart that I wish all of you my condolences on Madeline's passing. She was like a second Mother to me when were growing up. She was always quick to have a kind word and to make sure I had a full belly. I have so many warm memories of her and no doubt she and Spero are in Heaven eating fish, garlic and drinking Retsina and Ouzo. God Bless Madeline, Chris & Sue Terrio
