With sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Burke, affectionately known as Peg, who passed away on February 27, 2025. Born on June 27, 1940, she was a cherished daughter, dedicated educator, and beloved family member.

Peg attended Brockton High School and graduated with the Class of 1958. Her passion for literature and education led her to Bridgewater State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1967. Her journey for knowledge continued, and in 1991, she achieved a Master's Degree in Education from Cambridge College.

After college, Peg became a devoted English teacher at East Jr. High School in Brockton, inspiring countless students over her distinguished 33 year career.

Peg's talents extended beyond the classroom; she was an accomplished pianist who found joy in music, the theater, attending auctions, and the timeless beauty of antiquities.

She leaves behind her daughter Molly and son-in-law Curt Beider, granddaughter Alison Quick, as well as granddaughter Margaret and grandson-in-law Jed Grimm. Peg is preceded in death by her long-time companion, Christos Alexander, and her parents, James and Evelyn Burke.

A private interment service will be held for Peg.
