EATON – Judith A. (Kelley) 71 of West Yarmouth died unexpectedly Sunday Sept. 4, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

She was the wife of Thomas S. Eaton. They had been married for 42 years.

Born in Weymouth and moved to Chatham at a young age, Mrs. Eaton was the daughter of the late Winfred A. and Dorothy E. (Saley) Kelley. She moved to Yarmouth and graduated from Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School.

A lover of music, Mrs. Eaton studied piano, and became a piano teacher for many years. She was a certified member of the American Guild of Piano Teachers. She enjoyed gardening, art, and being with her family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Eaton is survived by a son, Roy Eaton and his wife, Catherine of East Sandwich; a daughter, Brenda Ryder and her husband, Rowland of East Harwich; a brother, Steven Kelley and his wife, Marie of Yarmouth; seven grandchildren, Damian, Bethany, Brandon, Shane, and Marlene Ryder, and Joseph and Emma Eaton; two great grandchildren, Shea-Owen and Chloe Ryder; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Brian Lahteine; a brother, David Kelley; and a sister, Deanne Kelley.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday Sept. 19 in Chandler Gray Cemetery, 161 Old Mill Way, West Yarmouth.

As an expression of sympathy, Memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics, 370 George Washington Hwy., Smithfield, RI 02917-1921.

Judy was such a nice, caring person and will be sorely missed by many. We are deeply sorry for your loss and hope that all the memories you have will comfort you during this sad time.
