Phyllis M. (Homan) Wilson  “P.M.” 90 of Yarmouthport died Wednesday September 21, 2016.

P.M. was the beloved wife of Malcolm A. Wilson who predeceased her in 2010. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Benttinen) of West Barnstable. She leaves a son, Robert Wilson of Sarasota, FL; a stepson, Jeffrey Wilson and his wife, Georgia of Mashpee; two nieces, Debora (Bresnihan) Sullivan and her husband, Joseph of Bedford, and their two sons, and Karen (Bresnihan) Schricker of Goffstown, NH; and a nephew, Daniel Bresnihan and his husband, Chris of Washington, CT. She was predeceased by a brother, Ellsworth Homan, and a sister, Bernice Bresnihan.

An attendee of the West Barnstable Grammar School, now the Community building, P.M. was a graduate of the Swain School of Art in New Bedford and received a master’s degree in Fine Art from Boston University.

P.M. worked for Peter Hunt in Provincetown as a Huntress and decorated furniture. She also worked as an Assistant Manager in the 50’s and 60’s for Filenes in Hyannis and Wellesley. She owned P.M. Wilson Boutique on Main St. in Hyannis, which moved to the Cape Cod Mall, and P.M. International, also at the Mall. She and Malcolm owned The Sherburne Gallery on Nantucket, followed by The Wilson Gallery in Boston, which moved to Dennis village.

Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday November 4 in Crocker Park Cemetery, Church St., West Barnstable, MA 02668.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of P.M., may be made to the charity of your choice.
