Roger E. Randall

RANDALL – Roger E., 87 of Yarmouthport died at his home Monday June 22, 2015 after a period of declining health. 
 
He was the husband of Marcia J. (Johnson) Randall for 31 years.
 
Born in Arlington, Mr. Randall was the son of the late Alton F. and Sibyl W. (Hobbs) Randall.  He was extremely proud of his Cape Cod roots and his Seminole Indian Heritage.  He was also a direct descendant of Ralph Waldo Emerson through his mother’s family.
 
Roger graduated from Burdett College of Business and attended Northeastern University and then started a career in sales with the Atlantic Richfield Company in Boston.     
 
A veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force, Roger was honorably discharged following his final assignment in Germany during the Berlin Crisis in 1961.
 
Upon his return from the Air Force, Roger developed a new career as a medical group practice administrator.  He and Marcia met while working together at Retina Associates in Boston.  They resided in West Roxbury before retiring to Cape Cod in 2001. 
 
In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by a daughter, Karen Fein and her husband, John of Carver; a cousin, Roger Austin and his wife, Jill of Timnath, CO; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by two sons, Roger E. Randall, Jr., and Jeffrey A. Randall; and two brothers, Donald W. and Ralph F. Randall.  
 
Visiting hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday June 25 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. 
 
Interment will be private.

Roger will be missed by all of his friends in South Carolina. He was fun to know and to be around. He was one of the family to us. I will miss his stories and his smile. Hugs and prayers for Marcia and the family.
