Linda A. Grew, 61, of Yarmouth Port, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in her beloved home on August 10, 2017. Linda was predeceased by her father Richard Furlani, father-in-law Thomas A. Grew Sr., mother-in-law Virginia A. Grew, and daughter-in-law Kendall L. Grew. Linda was born in New Bedford, MA on October 10th, 1955 and spent her childhood in Falmouth where she graduated from Lawrence High School. Shortly after graduating, she met her forever love Tommy Grew Jr., and the two were married on May 29th 1976 in Woods Hole. Linda, fondly known as “Ninna”, is survived by her husband of 41 years, Thomas A. Grew Jr., her three sons Joshua (Kendall), Matthew (Dayton) and Nicholas (Kelli); and her greatest joys in life, her grandchildren, Sophie Alice, Aquinnah Anne, Myles Adam, Finnley Rose, Reagan Leigh and Logan Thomas. She is also survived by her devoted sister Lisa Marie Furlani. Linda dedicated her early years to chasing her boys around the family cranberry bogs. Always available to lend a hand or an ear, Linda was an invaluable friend, and a shining example of kindness and selfless love to so many. Always ready to jump in where she was needed, Linda would later become highly involved in her boys’ youth hockey programs, which led her to a career in ice arena management, overseeing the operations of rinks in both Bridgewater and Raynham. With a creative mind, and a quick wit, Linda was simply known for being able to master just about anything that she tried to do. In retirement Linda found joy in designing and building her dream home, crafting, gardening, drinking coffee with friends, making jewelry, and spending countless hours with her grandchildren singing on golf cart rides around “Grewville”. Ninna’s reach spread far beyond her family, she was the queen of the village she so proudly created throughout her community. To have Linda as a friend, was to know love, loyalty, and generosity beyond measure. She tirelessly poured her heart into all of her loved ones and to know that love was a gift. She was the Ninna of all Ninnas to so many. Ti amo, Ninna. On her behalf, the Grew family would like to thank the Yarmouth Fire and Rescue team who spent many hours in her home, putting her at ease. Your kindness and skilled care will always be gratefully remembered. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Yarmouth Fire Fighters Association, YFFRA, 96 Old Main St., South Yarmouth, MA 02664 Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life, Saturday the 19th of August @ 12pm, at her home in Yarmouth Port, 353 Weir Road. All are welcome to stop by and share a story of Ninna.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Although I did not know her personally, through my years of friendship with Eunice and Davis, I send my condolences to all of the Grew family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman, Mom, friend and grandmom.
