ELLIOTT – Roderick A. “Rod” 72 of Yarmouthport died Wednesday July 22, 2015 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, after a period of failing health.   
 
He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Volker) Elliott for 35 years. 
 
Born in Ware, Mr. Elliott was the son of the late Alva H. and Beatrice T. (Griffith) Elliott.
 
A graduate of Mitchell College in New London, CT, Rod graduated from the Dover Business College in Parsippany, NJ in 1999 with a degree in Computer Electronics as a Networking Technician.  His final working years were spent as a Computer Technician for PNY Technologies, Inc. headquartered in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ, doing technical support.
 
Rod was a resident of Highland Lakes, NJ for 25 years before moving to Yarmouthport in 2003.  He always considered Cape Cod his home, as he spent all of his summers in Harwich Port.
 
A member of the Bass River Rod & Gun Club, Rod was also a Mason and a member of the Howard Lodge AF and AM of Yarmouth.   
 
He loved life and people.  He was a person that if you met him you would remember him. He loved motorcycling, sports, and spending time with his family.       
 
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Elliott is survived by five daughters, Kristin Elliott of New London, CT, Stacey Logan of Worcester, Stephanie Elliott-Manning of Glendale, AZ, Darcy Cillaroto of Wantage, NJ, and Erin Logan of Yarmouthport; a sister, Donna E. Burlingame of Harwich Port; five grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. 
 
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday August 6 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. 
 
Visitation will precede the memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.    
 
Interment will be private.

Elaine and girls, I am so sorry to hear of Rod's passing. Although I haven't seen you in a long time I felt I needed to send my sincerest condolences. I hope you all will be comforted by the good memories that you keep of Rod in your hearts.
