Patricia Jean (Lacerte) Jalbert

West Yarmouth: Patricia Jean (Lacerte) Jalbert of West Yarmouth passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2018 at the age of 64, with her husband, Dennis Jalbert, by her side, following a battle with cancer.

Patty was born on August 3, 1953 in Southbridge, MA, the daughter of Roger and Betty (Jones) Lacerte. In 1986 Patty and Dennis moved to Cape Cod. They were married for 42 years and he was the love of her life as she was for him. They were inseparable through their entire marriage.

Together, Patty and Dennis drove across the country for Mayflower Moving Company, seeing all of the country with the exception of Alaska. For 28 years Patty was a courier for FedEx prior to retiring.

 Recently Dennis and Patty purchased their dream home in Florida and spent several winters there.  They loved boating and camping.

In addition to her husband, Dennis, she is survived by her brothers: Roger Lacerte Jr. of Sandwich and Robert Lacerte of Delray Beach, FL, two sisters: Linda Savoie and her husband, Bruce,of Hyannis, and Gisele Grout and her husband, Richard, of Sandwich, and brothers-in-law:Leonard Jalbert of Sturbridge and Daniel Jalbert of Shrewsbury.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and her very special great nephew, Jordan Savoie, who she loved “ to the moon and back”.

Patty is predeceased by her step-daughters, Debra and Dawn Jalbert both of Southbridge, MA as well as her parents, Roger and Betty (Jones) Lacerte, late of Southbridge, MA.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. closing with a prayer service.
