Virginia R. Zurlinden

Virginia “Ginny” Zurlinden, 95, of Brewster, our loving mother,  and wife of the late John “Dick” Zurlinden for 65 years, passed away peacefully on July 25 at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Chatham.
                She was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1919 and graduated from Strivers High School. She and Dick were married in 1941, raising their seven children in Baltimore, Cleveland and Detroit. They retired to California and moved to Brewster, Massachusetts in 2004. Aside from her favorite roll as mother, Ginny loved cooking, antiques, collectables and flowers, especially roses.
                Her son John “Jack” passed away in 1983, her memory is cherished by her children, Pamela Ehrhardt of New York; Tom and his wife,Carlotta Zurlinden, of Michigan; Jane and her husband, Steve Dryer,  of Florida; Mary Lou Zurlinden and her husband, Peter Roderick, of Brewster; Dawn Zurlindern and her husband, James Niham,  of Tennessee;  and Jeffrey Zurlinden of Dennisport. Her Brothers and Sisters of Dayton, Ohio;  Ronald and wife , Judy Kness, Marilyn and husband, Bing Crosby, and Ellen Richardson, also share in memories of her.  She loved each of her 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren
                Memorial Services to be announced at a later date.
