Virginia “Ginny” Audino of Yarmouth Port passed peacefully Friday August 17, 2018.

She was the loving wife of Peter Audino who predeceased her in 2017. They were married for almost 60 years.

Born in New Jersey, Ginny was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Assunta) Gigante. She was a graduate of Lyndhurst High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY. She practiced at Cornell Medical Center in New York City and was a clinical instructor at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ. While raising her family, Ginny was involved in school nursing and owned and operated a small manufacturing company.

Ginny, and her late husband Peter, lived in Woodcliff Lake, NJ for 27 years before moving to Cape Cod in 1987. She was a member of the Northside Artists of Cape Cod and enjoyed local theater and the arts. A juried and awarded artist, an avid tennis player and world traveler, Ginny also had a passion for gardening. Her other hobbies included golf, sewing, sculpting, knitting, quilting, and bridge. She was an enthusiastic baseball and football fan.

Ginny loved her family dearly and is survived by four children, Aileen Johnson and her husband, Ernie of Dennis, Robert Audino and his wife, Michelle of Sturbridge, Diane Audino and her husband, Marc Boggio of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, and Paul Audino and his wife, Judy of Mendham, NJ; six grandchildren, Alex, Courtney, Cameron, Elizabeth, Elena and Jack; two great-grandsons, Emett and Boden; and a brother Rudy Gigante of Allendale, NJ. In addition to her husband and parents, Ginny is predeceased by a brother, Joseph Gigante.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday August 24 in St. Pius X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth.

Interment will be private.
