South Dennis - (formerly of Stoneham, MA) Kevin Raymond Clabby, 83, devoted and adored husband of Mary Louise (Conroy) Clabby went home to God early September 19, 2018. Kevin was born July 16, 1935 in Brighton, MA to John J. and Josephine E. (“Lily” Waldron) Clabby. Following graduation from St. John’s Prep, Danvers, MA, Kevin attended Tufts University before joining the US Army. He “fought the Korean conflict for 2 years in Chicago, IL”. He resumed his education at Northeastern University. His “co-op job” at GE, Lynn led to a position as Engineering Evaluation Manager in R&D Jet Engine Test. His odd shift hours enabled him to play golf daily in the “Noon Quota” at Cedar Glen, Saugus, MA. Following retirement at 55 he devoted 5 years to the care of his beloved Dad, until death at age 95. In addition to his parents Kevin was predeceased by his beloved daughters Marie and infant, Susan; great grandson, Ryan; sister, Marie Stedfast; brother, John J. Jr., nephew Kenneth Alves. He enjoyed 61 years of “wedded bliss,” including the last 20 years on Cape Cod with Mary Lou. He is survived by his wife, and adoring children - son, Kevin Jr., Cambridge & S. Dennis, MA; daughters Martha (Sam Speck), Atlanta, GA; Nancy (David) Muldrew, Watertown, MA; Carole (Michael) Urbano, Wakefield, MA. He was “Gookie” to his 15 cherished grandchildren - Kevina (Alex Caruso), Kristina, Katrina & Kathleen Clabby; Maren (Rob) Cotes, Carrie, Patrick, & Sean Speck; Matthew & Rose Muldrew; MJ & Catherine Urbano, Yiling Luo; Will, Jean & their Dad, Bill Manning (Marie); 3 great grandchildren, Miles & Nora Cotes; Alijah Caruso; sisters, Lillian Alves, Moody, ME; Kathryn (Edward) Blank, West Yarmouth, MA; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Maurice) McGrath, Ballston Spa, NY; Judith (Alain) Traig, Woodland, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Parish, 468 Stony Brook Road, Brewster, MA. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. at 2:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers perform an act of kindness, exercise your right to VOTE, or donate to a charity of your choice in Kevin’s memory.
