Marianne Daly, 56, left us too early on March 3, 2019. Marianne was born on May 27, 1962, in Somerville, MA, the daughter of Robert J. and Anna T. Daly.

She graduated from Natick High School in 1980 before living and working in Killington, VT, where she was crowned “The Queen of Killington.” Eventually, she made her home in Dennis, MA, where she was known and loved by the entire community. Marianne was a pillar at Gina’s by the Sea for over 35 years; she was also the only woman who worked at Billy Durham’s Gas Station in Dennis. Although Marianne’s spirit resides on Cape Cod, her love extends well beyond the bottleneck of the Bourne Bridge. Marianne’s smile, her unique style, and the love that she showed others will be sorely missed by anyone and everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Marianne joins her parents, Robert J. and Anna T. Daly, and her eldest brother, Robert J. Daly Jr., in eternal life. She is survived by her loving brothers and sisters: Edward Daly, Michael Daly, Margaret “Peggy” Canfield, and Anne “Nancy” Daly. Marianne’s many nieces and nephews, who adored her and enjoyed her company on Cape Cod, will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Rd, Brewster, MA .

A celebration of Marianne’s life will be held at Gina’s by the Sea at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marianne’s memory may be made to the MSPCA, 1577 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632.

The great food at Gina’s was one thing, but Mariannewas the reason we always returned. We exchanged cranberry recipes and talked often at both Gina’s and Annie’s Crannies. We will miss her smiling face and wonderful personality. God bless you, Sweet Marianne. Kathy and Bill Doelling
