Centerville - Ruth Anne Catlett died at home on April 1, 2020 in the presence of her loving husband of 65 years, E. T. (Dick) Catlett. She was born to Greta and William F. Wright in Woodbury, NJ. She graduated from Woodbury High school, attended Emerson College in Boston, then Pierce Business School in Philadelphia. She worked in the advertising department of The Saturday Evening Post and then flew as a flight attendant for TWA Airlines.

She married Dick in Corpus Christi, TX in 1955 and through the years lived in San Francisco, CA, Pensacola, FL, Newburyport, MA, Monsey, NY, Mountain Lakes, NJ, Boonton Twp. NJ and finally Centerville, MA. She was a talented painter, an avid reader and a member of The League of Women Voters, fighting for the ERA.

Ruth was very theatrical and acted in a group that introduced underprivileged children to live theatre. She was on the board of a lecture series featuring prominent speakers from all walks of life. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and her haunted house was famous with kids for miles around.

Her life was devoted to her family: her husband and four loving children, Cathy, John, Elizabeth and David. There are six grandchildren that she dearly loved. It is a close-knit family primarily attributable to her motherly loving care.

She requested a “wild and wooly party” in her honor which will occur when the virus has subsided.
