Marion M. Johnson (Anderson)

Marion M. Anderson Johnson 95 of South Yarmouth passed away at her home Wednesday May 27, 2020.

She was the wife of Wallace A. Johnson who died in 2011. They were married for 60 years.

Born, raised and educated in Worcester, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Carl G. and Mildred L. Werme Anderson. She was a graduate of High School of Commerce.

Mrs. Johnson worked as an office manager for the Norton Company in Worcester for many years. She retired at an early age to become an excellent stay at home Mom.

A member of the Federated Church of Hyannis, its Women’s Fellowship, and a member of the “Lobster Roll Gang”, Mrs. Johnson was also a member of the Garden Club of Yarmouth.

Mrs. Johnson enjoyed traveling to Florida, Europe and to National Parks, spending time at the beach, reading, having a good laugh, cooking, needlework, doing word puzzles, and playing card games. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Johnson of South Yarmouth, and Louise K. Bacon and her husband, Richard of Weymouth; two grandchildren, Laura Bacon and her husband, Jon Russell, and Jeffrey Bacon and his wife, Jessica; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Carl A. Anderson.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dudzik Home Care for their loving care and support.

Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Johnson, Even though I knew you for a short period of time, you were a fist-class lady. Thank you for sharing so much with me--including your suppers, cook-outs. Above all, thank you for being a wonderful person and best friend to talk to. May you always find peace and love.
