Edward Frank Roskovics, 82 years old, died on November 11, 2020 after a long fight with Parkinson's Disease.

Ed was born March 9, 1938 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Margaret (Papp) and Frank Edward Roskovics; his parents moved to North Falmouth shortly after he was born. Ed ran the Falmouth Town Dump located in North Falmouth in the 1950s while still in high school after proving he could run large machinery; graduated Lawrence High School, Falmouth, MA in June 1956; worked for Allied Van Lines just out of high school; served in the U.S. Army (1960-1961); had a contract for 30 years as United States Postal Service bulk mail hauler delivering to several towns in the mid-Cape area; owned and operated Allied Cesspool and Roskovics Trucking & Excavation. In October 2000, Ed sold 20 acres of his North Falmouth property to the 300 Committee for wildlife and land preservation.

His lifetime hobby was collecting American-made autos. At passing he owned eleven Ford Model-Ts, one Ford Model-A, four Crosleys and three tractors. He was a "collector's collector" with collections of ashtrays, cigarette lighters, milk bottles, canning jars, swizzle sticks, matchbox toys and postcards just to name a few!

He is survived by his loving wife Charlet (Emery) Roskovics and stepdaughter Rebecca (Shave) with her husband Emilio Sanchez of Florida, Goddaughter Terry Rivera of East Falmouth plus many friends and relatives. A private burial will be held in the North Falmouth Cemetery. Deepest thanks and appreciation to Tricia Bache who is the most loving, caring and capable CNA. With her help over past nineteen months, Ed was able to remain comfortably in his home together with ten months under VNA Hospice care. Additional thanks go to Mark H. who has sold each and every one of Ed's antique vehicle collection and memorabilia assisted by David C. and Audra D. The four above-mentioned people have made an extremely difficult time easier.

Please--no flowers. Donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777; the Falmouth Fire and Rescue, 399 Main Street, Falmouth, MA 02540; or simply give an act of kindness by visiting a house-bound friend!

Dear Charlet; I just came across Ed’s obituary today and am very sorry for your loss. What a remarkable man he was, and you will miss him terribly. Thankfully, you have had kind people helping to care for Ed, and others to look after the selling of his collections. You were a caring, loving wife. May your memories of your life shared with Ed be a source of comfort to you. God bless. Colleen
