It is with heavy hearts that the Johnson family announces the death of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Patricia Ann Johnson. Patty passed after a brief second battle with breast cancer on Monday, March 1, 2021, at the age of 62. Patty successfully battled breast cancer for the first time in 1997 before being diagnosed with in again in 2021.

Patty was born on March 17, 1958 at Cape Cod Hospital to William and Muriel (Sears) Field. Patty graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1976. On October 6, 1982 she married William Steven Johnson. They raised three daughters, Melissa, Brenda, and Jessica. Patty worked for Shaw’s for 29 years where she took pride in learning and helping in many different departments.

Patty loved helping and caring for others. She would frequently be found delivering dinners to coworkers and helping friends with errands and shopping. She was an honorary member of the VFW where she would waitress events and sell tickets for their weekly meat raffle. Patty volunteered her time during many of her daughters’ school activities and would regularly lend a helping hand at her nephews’ scouting events. Patty was a regular at school concerts, theater shows, games and band competitions; always cheering on her daughters with excitement and enthusiasm. She also loved music, especially the oldies, and was a collector of Elvis memorabilia. Patty loved being a Grammy and frequently shared stories and pictures of her grandbabies with friends, family, and coworkers. She visited and video chatted with her grandchildren every chance she could.

Patty was preceded in death by her father, William, and her mother, Muriel and sister, Barbara. She is survived by her husband Steve, her three daughters, Melissa, Brenda, and Jessica, and her two grandchildren, Jacob and Evelyn, her sisters Eunice, and Rosie, her brothers, Billy, Richard, Robert, and Jimmy, and many nieces, and nephews.

A graveside memorial will be held on July 11, 2021 for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in her name. https://www.bcrf.org.
