John E. Boris
Brewster – John Edward Boris, Jr., 92, passed away on October 31, 2015 at Pleasant Bay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Brewster.  Born in Gardner, MA on April 4, 1923 he was the son of the late John and Stacy (Wisnaski) Boris.

John proudly served in WW II for 3 years in the 8th Armored Division of the 36th Tank Battalion of the U.S. Army in the Rhineland Ardennes.  He received a good conduct medal along with ribbons for the American Theatre and European African Middle Eastern campaigns.

In 1952, he married Stacy (Michalewicz) of Gardner and relocated to Nashua, NH where he worked for Doehla Greeting Cards until his retirement in 1985.  In 1998, he moved to Cape Cod to be with his 2 daughters.  For the past 8 years, he enjoyed residing at EPOCH Brewster Place where he made many treasured friendships.

He is survived by his daughter Patricia of Brewster, sisters-in-law,  Stephanie Janski, Estelle Michalewicz and Gloria Michalewicz all of Gardner along with several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife of 40 years Stacy, daughter Michelle, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Thursday, November 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00  with a Funeral Service at 12:00 O’Clock .
Private burial will take place at a later date at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hudson, NH.

Contributions in John’s memory may be sent to his daughter, Patricia Boris, for the purchase of a memorial park bench dedicated in his honor.

Dear Pat, We are deeply sorry for the loss of your Dad. I'm sure you were his biggest support the last couple years after the sudden loss of Michelle. Now your family is together in Heaven watching over you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Deb and Dan and Family
