John Paul Warren of South Dennis, MA, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. John, known to many as Jack, was in his 96th year of life.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Clare, and his son, Jack, both of whose memories he held close to his heart every day. He is survived by his daughter Mary Beth Molloy of Guilford, CT, and her children, Julianna, Charlie and Shane; his son Francis Warren of South Dennis, MA, and his children, William and Emilie; his son Thomas (Carole) Warren of Duxbury, MA and their children Patrick, Matthew, and Bridget; grandchildren John (Katelynn), Catherine and Edward, and his cherished great-grandchildren, Isla, Madeleine and John (Jack) Paul IV.

Born in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Jack was the youngest of five children to parents John William and Julianna Langlois Warren. Following the Crash of 1929, his family relocated from Quebec to Springfield, Massachusetts. As a child, Jack attended Mt. Carmel Parochial School, where instruction was split evenly between French and English. He graduated in 1948 from Holy Rosary High School within a class of 32 students. Jack briefly attended AIC and Louisiana Tech before being drafted into the United States Army. Jack served his country for 14 months in Korea as an MP.

Too young to fight the battles of the Great War, the demographics of the World War II years gifted Jack’s teen years with an offering of endless opportunities, odd jobs, with skill sets, and magnificent experiences. Indeed, our dad often recounted too many occupations for us to keep track.

These formative years truly served him well when later in life he set out entirely on his own to create what would become Warren Business Forms. The business Jack created was a lifework that in many ways reflected who he was dependable, respected, steadfast and sought after.

After the Korean War, Jack returned to Springfield, where he enrolled at Holyoke Junior College, ultimately earning his degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In 1970, Jack began Warren Business Forms, Inc., starting a very successful 35-year career in the printing industry. It was through his years as an independent businessman that Jack's gift for fostering friendships above and beyond occupation was on full display. He naturally turned customers into lifelong friends as people respected and trusted him. In 1996, Jack retired and passed the family business on to his sons, Jack and Fran.

Following his retirement, Jack and Clare became snowbirds, spending winters on Marco Island, Florida, and summers on the Cape. They remained very active, enjoying golf and tennis at the Island Club on Marco Island, as well as the South Yarmouth Tennis Club, Kings Way and Cummaquid Golf Club, where they spent many afternoons on the courts and on the links. Retirement also allowed Jack and Clare to enjoy numerous adventures together, including trips to Arizona, Norway, Kenya, Paris, Italy, and attending both Wimbledon and the Ryder Cup.

Jack will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He always lent a listening ear and a wise word, and for that he will be truly missed. He loved his family, travel, tennis, golf, gardening, growing tomatoes, playing cards, fishing and enjoyed sharing these pastimes with family and friends alike.

Family and friends are invited to funeral services to be held at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave South Yarmouth, MA on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Visiting hours are from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00pm.

What a great man your father was! Funny the memories that arise and the one for me is your dad sitting in the not-so-vast stands of the Marian High School gym watching the games with studied intelligence. I don't remember too many long conversations with your dad but the exchanges always gave me a sense that he knew me, and this brought with it a sense of warmth. My prayers for comfort for all of the Warren's.
