Monique A. (Louis) Galipeau
Dec 25th, 2021
Monique A. (Louis) Galipeau 81 of Hyannis died Saturday December 25, 2021 at her home in Hyannis. Her family are all so sad to announce that she has lost her incredible fight with diabetes and kidney dialysis. She beat the odds, her stubborn will kept her going.
Monique was known as the “Woman with 1000 Lives”. Upon meeting Monique you quickly realized she was a colorful character. Her slight obsession for purple was a theme throughout her wardrobe which was represented proudly on her crazy leggings. Her unconditional love for ALL animals, especially cats, was a driving force that made her very happy.
She dreamed of going to the pool and playing her ukulele with friends and family, right up to the end, a driving force that gave her hope.
She left this earth on her own terms on the night of Christmas, peacefully at home in her “HAPPY PLACE”, her comfortable bed, with friends and family, her cats by her side and Shark Tank playing in the background on the TV.
Monique is survived by three daughters, Caroline Carton and Jacqueline Hampton both of Hyannis, and Christine Garrity of Centerville; five grandchildren, Brittany Fitzgerald, Liam Garrity, Samuel Galipeau, and Ezekiel and Olivia Hampton; and three great grandchildren, Casey, Zane Carter, and Evan Fizgerald.
Her wishes are being honored by not have services at this time, and her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband in the future.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to an animal charity of your choice.
