Ann Powers, 79, of West Dennis, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully September 4, 2022, surrounded by her children.

Ann fought a long hard battle but succumbed to her illnesses. Ann was born to Esther Viola Powers and John Judge Powers, March 12th, 1943. She was raised in Albany, NY alongside her two sisters. She was brought up Irish catholic regularly attending church with her family. Ann earned her bachelor’s degree at The University of Boston and received her master’s at The University of Connecticut. Her first job in nursing was in the trauma unit at Mass general. She loved it so much; she remained a nurse for 40+ years with 22 of them being an RN at the Elliot hospital in NH. She also did some teaching at both Yale and Saint Anselms. When she was not caring for people, she had a passion for traveling the world, Bermuda and Hong Kong being some of her favorites. She also enjoyed skiing in Colorado and even the Swiss alps. She had a green thumb and loved gardening and was an avid member of her local communities and historical society. Old house renovation was something she and her husband also took a big interest in as well. She would find joy in retirement with her husband on Cape Cod. Ann loved a good western, reading, working out and of course, chocolate. Ann was a good wife and mother and loved her family and friends deeply. She will be missed immensely.
