Helen Z. Rubino, 96, of West Yarmouth, passed peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on February 7, 2023. She was born in Stanhope, NJ, and was raised by her parents, Joseph and Teofila Zablocki . She was one of seven siblings.

Helen graduated from Netcong High School in 1945 and later attended Ryder College where she met her husband. She spent most of her earlier years helping differently ambled and homeless individuals and frequently visited the elderly in nursing homes, all while working and raising her five children. She was an avid Red Sox fan, never missing a game on television. She enjoyed being active, bowling, walking the beaches in Florida, rollerblading into her 70’s, and playing board games at home. Her greatest passion was being with family and friends. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile that shined brightly into her final days.

Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph. She leaves behind five children, David of Melbourne Beach, Fl, Thomas of Centerville, Jeffrey of Hyannis, Gregory of South Dennis and Teresa Goulart of West Yarmouth, as well as four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her love for her family and her caring for others will truly be missed.

A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA at 1:45 P.M. on March 8, 2023. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life
will be held in May for all to attend.
