Thomas Franks Prince, Jr. was born October 6, 1934 in Trenton, NJ to Thomas Franks Prince and Virginia (Schaubert). He passed away May 28, 2023 in Marshfield, MA. He was raised in Lynn, MA and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst earning his degree in mechanical engineering. Tom worked 31 years at Ark-Les Corporation in Watertown and Stoughton. Prior to moving to Marshfield, Tom & his wife Joyce lived on the Cape in Yarmouth Port for over 20 years, after living in Milton and Quincy.

Tom was a kind, compassionate soul, who lived by the golden rule. He loved bird watching and was proud to claim he had over 700 birds on his “life bird” list. He was an animal lover, adopting many strays over the years. He loved the Red Sox and the Patriots, and supporting all of his grandchildren in their many activities. No matter what, you could count on Papa to be there cheering you on. He and Joyce enjoyed traveling to many foreign countries and throughout the United States.

He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 66 years. Predeceased by his daughter Robin Prince. Daughters, Lori Noreen (Tim), of Sedalia, CO. Tara Garvey (Gerry) of Norwell, and Shelley Devane (Phil) of Braintree. Also survived by 8 grandchildren Thomas (Alyssa) Garvey, Cormac and Shea Garvey, Victoria (Felton) Knighton, Gabriella Noreen, Brittany, PJ and Tyler Devane. He was proud to be a great grandpa to Landon Garvey. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 11am - 12 o'clock noon. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 o'clock noon.. Burial in Woodside Cemetery, Yarmouth Port to follow.

Lori and Family, I was sad to learn about the passing of your Dad. It showed on his face how much he loved his wife and his daughters. He will always be with you in your heart and thru your memories of him. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️❤️
