Leonora Muzyka, of South Yarmouth, MA died peacefully on June 28, 2023. She lived a full life until her passing at 94. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren during her last days.

Her beloved husband of 70 years, William V. Muzyka died on July 30, 2018. Lee leaves behind her three children Kathryn Macone, husband Daniel of Venice Fl, Paul Muzyka, of South Yarmouth and Janet Gallugi, husband Fred of West Dennis. Seven grandchildren will miss their ‘Grammy’, Danielle, Kristen, Elizabeth, Emily, Sarah, Amanda, and Alexandra. Five great grandchildren who affectionally knew her as “Gigi”.

Leonora was born in 1928 in Brooklyn NY, daughter to Nicholas and Netty Badolato where she grew up and attended James Madison High School. She married William in 1948 and lived in Winter Park, Florida, Old Bethpage, NY and Leominster, MA prior to finally settling in West Dennis, MA. After retirement from Sears, Roebuck and Company, holding various positions from Executive Secretary to Customer Service Manager, Lee and Bill took up winter residency in Madeira Beach Florida. They enjoyed many friends from Florida to Canada where they loved to entertain friends and family, play golf and community activities. They also enjoyed traveling abroad from trips to Italy, Spain, Ireland, France, and other destinations in Europe.

They were parishioner of St Pius X, when living on the Cape as they participated in many church sponsored events and charities.

There will be a Funeral Mass on July 12, 2023, 11am at St Pius X, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth, MA. In a private ceremony, she will be reunited with her husband Bill, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on July 13, 2023.
