Wilhelmina Rose (Kurytka) Cuff was born in her family home in Turners Falls, MA to the late John and Mary Kurtyka. She attended Montague Public Schools and was a 1947 graduate of Turners Falls High School.

Minka earned her RN in 1950 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, and as a practicing nurse for over forty years. She worked as a Town Nurse in Montague, and in different departments at the Franklin County Hospital in Greenfield.

She moved to West Yarmouth with her family in 1967, working briefly at Cape Cod Hospital, and then as Director of Nurses at Centerville Nursing Home for twenty-five years. She was a communicant of St. Pius X church in South Yarmouth.

Minka is survived by her children, Pamela Madera (Joe) of Hyannis, and Michael (Elaine Kerwin) of South Yarmouth, and her grandchildren Jill Blackmon (John) Christopher Cuff (Catherine), Patrick Cuff, Timothy Cuff, and Catherine (Catie) Cuff. She leaves six great-grandchildren, Callie Blackmon, Jack Blackmon, Braden Gilfoy, Evan Gilfoy, Emily Cuff, and Anna Cuff.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Cuff, her siblings, Henry Kurtyka, Bernard Kurtyka, Matthew Kurtyka, Josephine Kurtyka, Helen Raymond, Fidelia Kurtyka, Amelia Lear, and by her beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth Martins Gilfoy.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 10:00am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 84 K St, Turners Falls, MA 01376. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery.
