Zoi Panayiotou
share

It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Zoi Panayiotou (Dimopoulos) in the early morning hours of October 27, 2023.

Born on April 3, 1951 in Hrisohorafa, Greece, Zoi was the youngest of three siblings with whom she shared an incredible bond. She moved from Greece to Worcester, MA in 1973 where she married her beloved husband Markos in 1974. Zoi and Markos moved to the Cape in 1991. They co-owned the Kream n’ Kone in Dennis alongside her nephew Angelo Argyriadis and her sister and brother-in-law, Dimitra and George Argyriadis until 2003. Zoi and Markos ran several more businesses on the Cape until retiring and spending their time gardening, cooking, and traveling.

Zoi was adored by her loved ones as an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend. She had an incredible ability to make people cry from laughing, her sense of humor was both lightning quick and playfully mischievous. She also loved cooking and spoiled her family with home-cooked dishes from her native Greece, such as the tzatziki she made for each and every holiday table.

Viewing hours will be from 10-11am on Tuesday, October 31st, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Hyannis, with a funeral service to follow. Arrangements made by Hallett Funeral Home in South Yarmouth. Donations may be made to the church in her honor.
