Clare Martha Warren of South Dennis, MA, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Clare was in her 90th year of an active, fulfilling life.
Clare is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, John, as well as her daughter Mary Beth Molloy of Guilford, CT and her children Julianna, Charlie and Shane; her son Francis Warren of South Dennis, MA and his children William and Emilie; her son Thomas (Carole) Warren of Duxbury, MA and their children Patrick, Matthew, and Bridget; her grandchildren John (Katelynn) Warren, Catherine Warren and Edward Warren, and her cherished great-granddaughters, Isla and Madeleine. Clare was predeceased by her son Jack.
Clare was born in Springfield, MA. Her parents, Mary Elizabeth (Halloran) Korman & Fenton Francis Korman, sadly passed on when Clare was 12. Raised in the home of her Uncle Anthony & Aunt Kathryn (Gert), she lived there with her cousins and her best friend & cousin Louise. A graduate of Classical High, Clare graduated from Westfield State College with a degree in education.
As a homemaker & part-time chauffeur to a family of 4 active and athletic kids, Clare still always made time for her artistic and creative pursuits. Our home was forever adorned with her watercolor paintings, the drapes she sewed and the pillows she embroidered on the couches. Knitted hats and sweaters were her beautiful gifts.
A competitive athlete, Clare was always keen on improving. She was passionate about her tennis game and tolerated golf, but she did score a hole-in-one at the Island Club on Marco Island. She was an ardent Bridge player and was always up for a card game of Pitch on a summer night on the Cape.
After years of successful motherhood, Clare and Jack had time to go on many adventures, including white water rafting in Colorado, the fjords of Norway, a safari in Kenya, the Louvre in Paris, fine dining in Rome, the tennis mecca Wimbledon and they spent many years relaxing, golfing and playing tennis on Marco Island, Fl. However, Clare’s greatest joys were found in her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Family and friends are invited to funeral services to be held at the Hallett Funeral Home in South Yarmouth, MA on Friday, February 2, 2024. Visiting hours are from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. In honor of Clare’s athletic achievements, those who wish may donate to her granddaughter Julianna’s charitable cause in running the Boston Marathon: https://www.givengain.com/project/julianna-raising-funds-for-trinity-boston-connects-66430
