John Robert “Bob” Kohr Bob passed away at his house peacefully with family on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

He was born in Boston on September 22, 1932 to John Sydney and Christine Crossen Kohr. Bob met his devoted wife Jean of 68 years in 1950 while helping his father build a cottage in Dennis Port where they spent their summers until 1991 when they move permanently to Yarmouth Port.
He graduated from Needham high school in 1950, Boston College in 1954 and was then in the US Army. He worked as an engineer (physicist) for 35 years.

Bob was a devoted father to four children, whom they raised in Winchester, MA; John & Janet, who predeceased him, James and Joyce. Besides his adoring children and wife, he leaves John’s wife Laura, Jim’s wife Deborah, nine loving grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Marian O’Neill.

Bob spent his time coaching his children’s sports teams, was an avid watcher of Boston sports teams, and loved traveling with and just being with Jean.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at St Pius X Church, Station Ave, South Yarmouth on Friday March 22 at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Harwich, MA.
