Fred Budreski of Brewster, MA, son of Dr. Alphonse and Eva Budreski, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, June 20, 2024 at home in Brewster, MA.

He was the loving husband of Kathy for 55 years, and leaves his three children: Mark (Hannah) Budreski of Winchester, and Chatham MA, Ann (Anjali) Budreski of, Fayston, (VT) partner (Bradley Long) and Jon Budreski of Bozeman, MT, his dear grandsons, Ted Budreski and Griffin Budreski of Winchester, his sister Ann Rosseel of Bourne, and several special nieces, including Kathleen Joyce, Susan Mitchelson, Sarah Vitulano, Claire Ann Kabot (Rich), Corinne Rosseel and Catherine Rosseel and the late Lisa Mitchelson.

Fred graduated from Stonehill College, was an executive with the Bell and Howell Company in Needham, MA for many years before transitioning to State Street Bank, then to Bottomline Technologies in Exeter, NH. After retirement, he enjoyed his volunteer job at CC Museum of Natural History - leading field walks and serving on their Board. He also loved spending time driving elderly residents to their appointments and being a part-time local tour guide.

Fred served in the honor guard with the US Army while stationed at Fort Myer in Washington, DC and served in President John F. Kennedy's inauguration parade. Fred delighted in cooking and sharing homemade food, especially from his beloved ethnic heritage.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many who loved him. He was a man of great faith, an avid fisherman, a reader, and a lover of nature in all its forms. He made the world a better place wherever he went and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

So many awesome memories of the many years that Fred and the “Buds” lived next door on Heritage Way in Hanover. Our children growing up together. Numerous camping trips and vacations. Freddy “Farkel” offering us his delicious home grown “tomats”. Fred was always involved: T-ball, coaching baseball, fishing, Boy Scouts camping, father & daughter Girl Scout square dances, etc. Fred was definitely one of a kind – the kind you will miss and never, ever forget! RIP our friend.

Dear Kathy and family, I read with great sadness of Fred’s passing. God surely needed someone special because Fred was the best. Parting is certainly difficult, especially when someone so kind leaves us. Ironically I read that he will be buried on the sad 22nd anniversary of Paula’s passing. May they rest in eternal peace. Know that Fred made our world a better place by his being here.

Remembering Fred always brings a smile to my face……met Fred at Brockton High School when he was a classmate of Sandy……sooo long ago and a real gentle man was he. May God allow you all to dwell on the many fond memories you have shared. RIP and God Bless.

All the Stolfas have fond memories of Fred, Mr B. He was a good neighbor for many years, ever patient through early morning rooster wake-ups and July 4th explosions, sharing tools and stories equally. In the years since, we could always count on catching up immediately to those good old days. God bless him for all those wonderful memories.
