Elizabeth A. Curley

Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Curley, long time resident of Yarmouth Port, died on May 3, 2025 at Cape Cod Hospital.
Born on August 15, 1937, in the Woodside section of Queens, New York City, she was the daughter of Stephen T. Curley Sr. and Dorothy Kelly Curley. She did attend the State University of New York at Potsdam. Upon graduating, she started a career as a kindergarten teacher in the Yorktown Central School District in Yorktown Heights, NY, which lasted 33 years. She was highly regarded and beloved by the many students she taught over the years. Betty loved every minute of her career and truly did enjoy educating her many students.
She did retire to her beloved Cape Cod, where she enjoyed going to the beach, reading, gardening, and many other hobbies. Betty also volunteered at the historic Taylor Bray Farm in Yarmouth Port. Betty is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents, as well as a younger brother, Stephen T. Curley Jr.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 17 at 11:00 AM at Saint Pius X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth followed by interment at Ancient Cemetery.
