(Roberts) Kilgallon, of South Yarmouth, MA, formerly of Naugatuck, CT and Albany, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2025, five days after celebrating her 100th birthday with family and friends and receiving over 100 birthday cards. Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Donald, and her son Timothy. Sally, aka Gram, was a loving mother of seven children and an amazing Gram to ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was a cherished aunt, godmother, cousin and friend to many.
Sally was an ice cream connoisseur, bridge superstar, mah-jongg wiz, jumbo puzzle and Jeopardy solving, Wheel watching, check-book balancing, beach loving, woman of deep faith who brought joy and love to everyone. Hosting and playing cards 2-3 times a week kept her busy right up to the week of her birthday, when she celebrated winning the $2 pot.
Sally had a twenty-year career with the State of Connecticut, working in the Finance Office at Mattatuck Community College. She loved her work and took great pride in helping the student interns who passed through her department.
Sally is survived by her son Mark Kilgallon (his wife, the late Barbara Baker-Bury); daughters Donna and her husband Scott Carpenter; Mary Ellen and her husband, Andrew Moynihan; Nancy and her husband Albert Chisholm; Patricia and her husband Gary Maradian and Linda Kilgallon.
