Suzanne A. Martin of Dennis, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025 after a brief illness. She was born on May 14, 1943, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the daughter of A. Raymond Ayotte and Elizabeth (Ward) Ayotte. Suzanne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, Thomas, her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Farrey.

Suzanne graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1961 and attended the Ward School. In 1965 she married Thomas F. Martin of Worcester and moved to Dennis, where they lovingly raised their family and became dedicated members of the community. Suzanne served the towns of Harwich and Chatham with pride, retiring after 19 years with Chatham Fire and Rescue.

Suzanne is survived by her three children and their spouses:  Thomas and Daneane Martin of Sandwich, Amy and Charlie Hallett of Ellenton, FL, and Sean and Neeley Martin of Dennis and her sister, Phyllis Roughan of Worcester. She was a devoted and proud Mémé to her grandchildren: Cody, Jake, Patrick, Quinn, Murphy, and Kelly, each of whom brought her endless joy. Mémé had a gift for making holidays special. She loved to decorate, celebrate, and especially to bake for her family. Her festive spirit was glowing at the heart of many joyful gatherings. She was front and center, never missing a recital, graduation or special event!

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she deeply adored, as well as her “lunch gals” whom she met with weekly!
