Melissa Lee Merchant, 63, of Sandwich, Massachusetts, passed away on September 8, 2025.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Michael McCarthy; her daughter, Gabrielle Merchant (Kaila Merchant) of Omaha, Nebraska; her son, Alexander Merchant of Los Angeles, California; her grandsons, Greyson Merchant and Oliver Merchant of Omaha; and her beloved pets, dog Camille and cat Atticus. She is also survived by her brothers, Lawrence Daoust and David Daoust (Jeanette Burke-Daoust); her sisters, Deborah Marchant (Donald Marchant) and Christine Daoust; her nieces, Danielle Peters (Jason Peters) and Elle Medeiros (Rob Medeiros); and her nephew, Jason Marchant.

Melissa was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Barbara Daoust, by her nephew, Christopher Daoust, by her cherished dog Annabelle, and by her adored cats Bella and Indy.

Melissa will be remembered for her generous spirit and her love of giving thoughtful gifts. She was deeply devoted to her pets, who brought her comfort and joy throughout her life.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
