Marcello “Cello” Souza Mendes Fonseca, 24, of Hyannis, MA., passed away on October 13, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Marcello was born at Cape Cod Hospital to Marcelo and Kelly Fonseca.

Marcello attended high school at the Cape Cod Tech and graduated in 2020 and went on to work with his brother as an electrician apprentice at Frederico Nogueira Electrician, Inc for 3 years.

He was an amazing artist who loved to draw and sketch, skateboarding, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends.

Marcello was heavily invested in the clothing brand he had created with his friend Andrew Fagundes, Scare Society.

Marcello is survived by his parents; Marcelo and Kelly Fonseca, his fiancé Luisa Oliveira, his brothers and sisters Frederico Nogueira, Thiago Fonseca and Sasha Caceres. Also survived by his nieces and nephews; Matheus Fonseca, Maya and Maeve Nogueira, Layla Fonseca, Madaline, Luca and James Caceres.

Visiting hours will be held at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA 02664, on Wednesday October 22, 2025 from 2-6pm.

Marcello was a gentle, kind and peaceful soul and I will never forget him. I pray for his memory and for peace and strength to his family and Luisa. It was a gift and honor to have known him.
