Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Healy, 85, of Brewster, Massachusetts passed away on October 16th after a brief illness. Betty was born in Springfield, MA to Weldon and Jessie Jameson on January 27,1940. She went to high school at Commerce High and graduated in 1958.

After marrying, she moved to Cape Cod, where she remained for the rest of her life, the last 52 of those years in Brewster.

An avid reader, Betty loved a good book and her Dunkin’ green iced tea. She also enjoyed her daily phone chats with her three children, often enlisting them to help in completing the day’s crossword puzzle from The Boston Globe.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years.Paul M Healy.

After her husband’s death, Betty was blessed to find a close group of friends who enjoyed Friday night dinners, film screenings at Cape Cinema, performances by the Cape Cod Symphony and the occasional trip over the bridge to see a play or musical in Boston or Providence.

Betty is survived by her children Jennifer Spooner (Robert Barney) of Bountiful, Utah, Stephen Healy (Rebecca Healy) of Berowra, Australia and Christine Healy of Wakefield, MA and her grandchildren Anna Gray and Eli Healy.

A light luncheon and celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 11:00am at Sea Pines Clubhouse, 86 Sea Pines Drive, Brewster, MA. In lieu of flowers, please support your local library and independent bookstore.

We adored Betty and will miss her so much. My heart goes out to her family and especially Christine who made sure Betty was enjoyingher senior years.
